Circa 1880 Walnut Hand Carved Ladies Lap Desk

Fruit and leaf carved decorations, the lap desk opens to reveal a pen and stationary tray, which then continues to open to a velvet covered writing surface, box measures 12" W x 9-1/2" D x 7" H. Condition: Appears to have had an early re-varnishing both inside and outside, except for the velvet surface which does appear to be original, writing desk shows some minor wear, no other major damage found.
