Lovely Hand Colored Map by Blaeu

c. 1638, MEKLENBVRG DVCATVS, by Willem Blaeu, Amsterdam, Very Fine.
14.5” x 19”. Fully hand colored. Some light dampstaining over top quarter, minor tape repairs at seam, unseen on the back, plus a few trivial marginal edge chips. Latin text on verso. The care and attention for which the Blaeu family was noted is obvious in this detailed map. Three embellished cartouches and the coat of arms of Meklenburg grace the corners.
