c. 1781, Five Maps of Northwest America, Choice Very Fine.
Published in London by Alexander Hogg for use as illustrations in books describing Capt. James Cook’s voyages. Each map is disbound and measures from 9.25" x 13.25" overall to 9.25" x 14.75" overall. The general condition is excellent, with any flaws mentioned below. In most cases, a proper matting will suffice to turn these into dramatic display pieces. The following maps are included:
Views on the West Coast of America (dampstained on the left side)
Chart of Cooks River in the N.W. part of America (damp-stained along the bottom edge)
A Chart of the North West Coast of America and North East Coast of Asia, Explored in the Years 1773 & 1779
Chart of Norton Sound and of Berings Strait made by the East Cape of Asia and the West Point of America (trimmed tightly on the right side)
