    CHARLES FAZZINO COMMISSIONED TO CREATE OFFICIAL ARTWORKFOR 46TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS


    SANTA MONICA, Calif. (December 4, 2003) ? 3-D Pop art master Charles Fazzino has been selected to create the artwork for the 46th Annual GRAMMY Awards, it was announced today by the Recording Academy. His painting ? unveiled at the press conference announcing the nominations for the February 8, 2004 ceremony ? will be used as the official image for the world's premier music event and will grace the cover of the 46th Annual GRAMMY Awards invitation and program book. The 46th GRAMMY Awards will be held on Feb. 8 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast on the CBS Television Network at 8 p.m. (EST/PST).

    "The Academy is proud to have an artist of Charles Fazzino's caliber involved in the 46th GRAMMY Awards, and we're excited by the inspiring and colorful artwork he has created for the show," said Recording Academy President Neil Portnow. "His unique 3-D style is perfect for a joyful and celebratory event like the GRAMMYs as it truly captures the creative spirit of the music community."
