Probably Spanish, with deep cup of typical form, embossed, chased and pierced throughout, the guard, knucklebow and pommel with wrenched motifs, the wire-wrapped wooden grip with wrenched fluting. Double-edged tapering blade with a narrow central fuller at the forte. 17th century. Guard and knucklebow possibly a working-life replacement. 122 cm in overall length. Condition II
