Oliver Wolcott, Jr. 12 ½" x 7 ¾" partially printed document signed, Oliver Wolcott, Esquire…Commander-in-Chief…State of Connecticut, May 30, 1823. The document is an appointment of Halsey Stevens as an ensign in the Connecticut militia. It is countersigned by Thomas Day (1777-1855). There is a fold break through Wolcott's signature.
