Description
Samuel Blodget (1724-1807) Merchant, economist. Blodgett served as a captain in the New Hampshire militia during the Revolutionary War. After the War he completed a canal and lock system beside the Merrimack River. His enterprise allowed boats traveling between Concord and Nashua, New Hampshire, opening the Manchester region to development. 7 ¼" x 6" partially printed document, signed, no date. The document is an unissued share (No. 598) of stock in the Blodget Canal Company.
