Handwritten Will. The last will and testament of Samuel Wilson, 8" x 12", four pages, Mechlenburg County, North Carolina, July 3, 1841. "...I give a bequeath unto my daughter Mary Wilson, a Negroe women named Closey, and all her children...I give and bequeath unto my doaughter Martha McKnight a negroe woman named Lila and her child Munroe and a negroe man named Plum...I give and bequeath unto Sidney H. Johnston...the following property. All my lands in the County of Mecklenburg...also the following negroes...Dick and his wife Mary, Elick, Tom, Catharine, Prince and John, also two cows and two calves three beds and furniture...." Modest staining and toning in the folds, several small holes.
