Description
Discharge 51st New York. 7 ¾" x 11" partially printed, illustrated document, July 25, 1865. The document was the discharge of Jacob Boyce, a farmer from Owego, New York, who had enlisted at the age of eighteen on January 1, 1864 in the NY 109th Infantry. Boyce transferred to the "H" Company of the NY 51st Infantry on May 31, 1865 and is hereby discharged from that unit. The discharge is signed by Edwin Earp, Captain 1st Massachusetts, Heavy Artillery.
