"Gladiator" Special Effects Sword

Roman cavalry retractable special effects sword from "Gladiator" (Universal, 2000). This exceptional special effects sword was used by the mounted soldiers as they took on the Germanic forces at the beginning of the film. The sword has a wooden hilt and pommel, and the hollow aluminum blade has a retractable tip to give the illusion that the blade is being driven into the enemy soldier. A rare and finely crafted prop weapon from the film. Length: 20". Sale History: Profiles in History, April 2005.
