Alexandre Ivanovitch LAZHETCHNIKOFF (1870-1944) La diseuse de bonne aventure, Huile sur toile, signée en bas à droite en cyrillique, 141 x 119 cm - 551/2 x 467/8 in. The Fortune Teller, Oil on canvas, signed in Cyrillic lower right; Alexandre Ivanovitch Lazhetchnikoff participe à de nombreuses expositions à Saint-Pétersbourg à partir de 1912. En 1920, l'artiste émigre en Yougoslavie où il enseigne comme professeur à l'École des Beaux-Arts. En 1930, il expose ses oeuvres à la grande exposition des peintres russes à Belgrade auprès de Constantin Korovine, Constantin Makovsky, Alexandre Benois, Natalia Gontcharova et Mikhaïl Larionov. Notre tableau fut exécuté par l'artiste, sous la direction de Constantin Makovsky, dans son atelier. Alexandre Ivanovitch Lazhetchnikoff participated in many exhibits in St Petersburg starting in 1912. In 1920, he immigrated to Yugoslavia where he taught as a professor at the École des Beaux-Arts. In 1930, he exhibited his works at the great exhibition of Russian painters in Belgrade beside Constantin Korovin, Constantin Makovsky,Alexandre Benois, Natalia Gontcharova and Mikhaïl Larionov. Our work was executed by the artist, under the direction of Constantin Makovsky, in his studio.
