19th century, each with later oval plate within a beaded and molded rectangular surround, with stone-textured ground, the corners carved with scrolls, fans and berried branches, variations to size, the larger, 32.5'' H x 28.5'' W, est:$800/1200

Condition report

The smaller: 29.5'' x 26''. Giltwood and gesso. Nicely made. Originally portrait frames, later converted to mirrors. Decoration well executed. General marks, scratches, rubbing and darkening to surface, commensurate with age. Minor chipped losses to gilding and carved elements revealing white gesso, red bole and bare wood in areas.
