North America, depicting California as an island and the great lakes joined to the Arctic Ocean, decorative title cartouche with colourful figures, animals and birds, engraved map with original hand-colouring and later additions, on two sheets, joined, 565 x 870mm., loss and repair to upper just inside upper left corner of plate, several repaired tears to margins, 7 tears, repaired verso, just inside the title and plate, pale browning, surface dirt, [McLaughlin:55, Burden:438], Amsterdam, Pierre Mortier, 1692.
