Hitchcock, George [American, 1850-1913] oil on canvas painting titled "The Shrimp Girl" of a North Sea beach and signed "George Hitchcock 1886". 21.5"x32 NOTE: TITLE "THE SHRIMP GIRL" QUOTE FROM THE CONSIGNOR:"That's what we've always called this painting which was given to my mother by her mother, Ethel Hitchcock who was George Hitchcock's niece -- so you can say this belongs to the estate of Hitchcock's great-niece. She's standing on the beach of the North Sea at Egmond-aan-Zee in northwest Holland which is the village where George Hitchcock lived and painted".
