Also included is a transcribed obituary of his grandfather Nathaniel Lawrence (Attorney General of the state of New York, Revolutionary War Officer). The volume concludes with a loving, 13 page obituary/eulogy for his mother, Margaret Elizabeth Lindsley, authored by his father (Philip Lindsley) but transcribed or copied by John Berrien Lindsley. 9 3/4 in x 8in. Fragile condition: front cover and several of the first pages fully detached, spine attached only to back cover. Circa 1842-1863. 2nd item - two bank notes signed by John Berrien Lindsley.
