Middle Tennessee sugar chest, Overton County, town of Monroe. Post and panel construction with dovetailed drawer and turned feet. Primary wood Cherry, secondary Poplar. Old surface. 27 3/8" x 14 1/2" x 28 3/8" height. Retains the original lock. Condition - old wear to tips of feet, breakage to back of lower drawer bottom, missing pulls. Circa 1840-50.
