Exceptional Hepplewhite East Tennessee blanket chest on tall bracket feet, probably Washington or Sullivan County, TN, diminutive size. Old surface, tiger maple inlaid escutcheon, dovetailed case and feet. Walnut primary and yellow pine secondary. Condition - overall very good condition, hinges reset and top moved back approx. 1/8", feet facings with old breaks, old piecing to one facing, old blocking, tiger maple escutcheon possible old replacement. 37 1/4" width x 23 1/4" height x 16 3/4" depth. Circa 1810.
