Wythe County, Virginia paint decorated box

Wythe Co. Virginia small storage box with paint stripe decoration. Arched top with black paint stripe decoration around edges of top and corners of bottom, two black paint stripes centered through top extending to base, square nail construction, old varnish over unpainted yellow pine wood. Varnished in the interior as well. Very good condition for age with expected wear. 11" height x 24" width x 14" depth. Circa 1840-60. Note - a Wythe Co. one drawer table with similar black stripe decoration is known. Hearn estate.
