Two Southwest Virginia folk art butter molds from Burks Garden, VA. 1st item - Early Virginia butter mold with carved sheath of wheat design. Casing with concentric lines around top. Condition - missing handle, otherwise very good condition. 4 3/8" diameter of mold. Circa 1840-50. 2nd item - Virginia folk art butter mold with acorn leaf vine design. Condition - glue residue in bottom of one leaf design, housing with crack glued. Mold 3 1/2" diameter. Later 19th century. Hearn collection.
