Two early East Tennessee redware jugs. 1st item - TN earthenware jug with lead glaze and brown speckling, double ringed rim, glazed bottom. Found in Greene Co., TN. Condition - handle missing with portion of terminus remaining, a couple of areas of missing glaze. 8 1/4" height. Circa 1840-60. 2nd item - TN miniature earthenware glazed jug, three incised rings around upper shoulder, delicate rolled rim, found in Bean Station, TN. Condition - missing handle, terminus remaining, tiny glaze flakes to spout, chips to base. 4 1/4" height. Circa 1840-60.
