Stoneware jar with sine wave incising, found in Rutledge, Tennessee. East Tennessee or Southwest Virginia, possibly Decker. The jar was exhibited in the Washington County, TN Decker exhibit. Stoneware jar has a incised sine wave on the upper shoulder, the jar tapers at the shoulder area and then flares back out at the rim. Excellent condition. 5 5/8" height. 19th century.
