North Carolina green alkaline glazed stoneware jar, Catawba Valley, probably Lincoln County. Green alkaline glaze with underling brown glaze in a couple of areas. Excellent form and well made handles and rim indicate an experienced potter. Condition - larger than hairline crack from rim area, extending into the base. 12 1/2" height. 19th century. Hearn estate.
