North Carolina green alkaline glazed stoneware jar with lug handles, attributed to Catawba Valley."5" inscribed under one handle, denoting gallon capacity, three incised lines around upper shoulder. Condition - old glaze chips on lower half of jar, interior with some old exfoliation of glaze. Height 14 3/4". Late 19th century.
