Unusual North Carolina stoneware jar, truncated, squat form. Five incised lines around shoulder, incised "3" near one handle, edge of handles flare up, similar to the larger jar in lot #108. Glazed on bottom. Condition - old crack to one side starting at rim but does not extend into base, filled with dark residue over time. 9 1/2" height. Early 19th century. Hearn estate.
