Three Southwest Virginia baskets. 1st item - Carrying basket with wrapped rim and handle. Found in Smyth County, Virginia. Old, dry patina. Excellent condition. 8" height x 9 1/2" diameter. Early 20th century. 2nd item - Rare miniature basket from Burks Garden, Virginia. Probably made in Pulaski, VA. Exhibited at Blue Ridge Institute and William King Regional Fine Arts Center. Condition some weavers broken or loose around rim. 3 1/4" height x 4 1/2" width. 19th century/Early 20th century. 3rd item - small, square carrying basket, found in Austinville, Wythe County, VA. Darker, alternating weavers visible from interior. Old surface. Excellent condition with not breaks, old residue to underside. 6 1/2" height, 8" length. Late 19th/Early 20th century. Hearn estate.
