Southwest Virginia low baskets. 1st item - Low basket of split oak. Dry patina. Excellent condition. 3 3/8" height x 16 1/2" x 11 1/2". 19th century. 2nd item - Low basket of split oak. Square nails fasten rim. Old brown patina. Found along Lee Highway in Wythe County, Virginia. Condition - breaks to rim, a couple of breaks in lower sides. 3 3/4" height x 10 1/2" length x 8 1/4" width. 19th century. Hearn estate.
