Rare Wythe County , Virginia low basket trays, descended from the Buck family of Rural Retreat, VA. 1st item - Low basket of split oak, square nail fastens the carved rim together. Condition - very good condition with one weaver break near rim. 1 3/4" height x 11" x 14". 19th century. 2nd item - Low basket of split oak, old blackened patina. Condition - very good condition, one minor weaver break near rim. 2 1/2" height x 11" x 16 1/4". 19th century. Hearn estate.
