Tennessee Impressionist mountain landscape by L.E. Jones (Louis Edward Jones, Tennessee, 1878-1958). Oil on board, signed and dated lower left corner, "L. E. Jones 1946". Depicting a road or trail in the foreground with mountains in the background (probably Smokey Mountain National Park). Jones was an Impressionist painter from Woodstock, New York and established the Cliff Dwellers studio in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Inscription on back includes writing "Gift to Robert Mildrix..." Very good condition. 16" x 20" painting, 18" x 22" frame. Circa 1946.
