Condition/Details: Bound in eggplant cloth with gilt embossing, this antique volume is a scarce early edition of Lewis Carroll's famous story, published within a few years of the work's very first appearance, and the very first American Edition of the book. The work is illustrated with many drawings by John Tenniel. The volume shows some mild external wear, with a few detached prelims, shaken signatures and rubbed boards, and is otherwise solidly bound with clean, lightly age toned pages.
