Condition: light chipping to extremities, tear to head of final leaf due. a very scarce denunciation of slavery by j. q. adams. Adams printed letter is a reply to the Bangor Committee, declining their invitation to speak because of failing health. He writes: "The extinction of slavery from the face of the earth, is a problem, moral, political religious, which at this moment rocks the foundation of the regions of civilized man."
