Double-page engraved map of India, Indochina, Indonesia, the Philippines, southern China, and the northern coast of Australia. 19 1/8 x 22 1/2 in. Early hand-coloring, elaborate cartouche uncolored. Edition with privilege, but without engraver's name. From Atlas Novus, c.1740. See Phillips 583. New Guinea and most of Australia's northern coast appear in the southeast. Cartouche with natives, monkeys, birds, and cupids.
