Double-plage engraved map, c.1730-50. 19 1/4 x 22 5/8 in. Shows temples, cities, Dutch forts and ports. Elaborate cartouche with three Dutch colonists, three native slaves, tropical vegetation, and an elephant. Full hand-coloring to map, cartouche uncolored.
