Carved stone figural carving. Depicting a standing figure having a long head dress and robe. Mounted on wood base with plaque stating ''Excavated in Israel/Figurine About 800 A.D''. Figure: 6 1/4''H. From the collection of former Assistant Secretary of State, Dr. Joseph Sisco. This item amongst others, were given to Dr. Sisco as gifts by various Israeli leaders of the 1970's, including Moshe Dayan, fourth Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces(1953-1958).
