Colima pottery dog. Pre-Columbian. Standing dog having a bulbous torso and a short, spout-like tail. Faded red in color. 8 1/2''h x 11 1/2''l x 5 1/4w. From the collection of former Assistant Secretary of State, Dr. Joseph Sisco. This item amongst others, were given to Dr. Sisco as gifts by various Israeli leaders of the 1970's, including Moshe Dayan, fourth Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces(1953-1958).
