Yastreb (Hawk) pressure suit comprised of a detachable, white enamel-coated aluminum alloy helmet with 'CCCP' painted in red with hinged reflective GOLD-FILM coated visor, finger-lift flanges at sides & clavicle bar lock, secured with bolts & ring locks to rigid metal neck ring on suit; soft, zipper front pressurized undersuit of gray nylon canvas, sleeves with white enamel-coated metal annular upper arm restraints connected to articulating cables & pulleys that extend through arms to upper chest, pressure gauge on right sleeve, removable ring-locked pressure gloves, two umbilical interfaces & 2 pressure-regulating valves on chest, trussed legs, attached white nylon canvas boots with sturdy foam rubber soles, two inner rubberized cloth ventilating bladders (one primary, one redundant); Rectangular white enamel-coated, pressurized life support pack (LSS backpack RVR-1) with connecting hoses & harness without enclosed oxygen supply & gas ventilation/regeneration subsystems. Vacuum shield/thermal protection oversuit with red trim & applied four-sided gold border brocaded patch depicting a rocket rising from Earth & lettered 'CCCP', two detachable pressure gloves with black rubberized palms. Communication headset is included. Only ten of these extremely rare EVA spacesuits were produced. Initially used for the first Soviet manned docking (Soyuz 4/5) in 1969, the Yastreb suit was the stepping-stone for future planned manned Lunar missions. Cosmonauts Khrunov & Yelisayev used Yastreb suits for their historic docking mission on a 37-minute spacewalk. This EVA suit was assembled for exhibition at Macy's (NYC) in 2000 and Mall of America (Minnesota) in 1996.
