Pioneering Russian scientist & rocket designer (1857-1935) who laid out the basic principles of modern space flight. A superb & very rare association item, a book on Zeppelins signed by Tsiolkovsky. This hardbound book, in Russian, is titled: 'The Metal Zeppelin', published in Moscow in 1934 and bears an inscription on the title page: 'Our future is in Zeppelins...'. That page bears a clean vertical slit near the binding, well clear of the inscription and signature. Otherwise book is in fine condition. (2002 Russian Certificate of Authenticity)
