1836 USA GOBRECHT SEATED LIBERTY DOLLAR

A Seated Liberty dollar with 'C. Gobrecht F.' in field above date. Die alignment I (head of Liberty opposite DO of dollar & eagle flying up when rotated on horizontal axis). This being from the first striking in December of 1836. Only 1,000 were struck. 'Lib' & 'ty' of LIBERTY in shield visible. CV $14,000 for XF. Unfortunately, this coin had a hole drilled through it and has been plugged. Still scarce & desirable.
