This currency authorized by Continental Congress in Philadelphia to pay for the initial expenses of the Revolutionary War. $3,000,000 authorized payable in Spanish milled Dollars June 22-23 & July 25, 1775. Printed on thick rag paper. Top & bottom 'The United Colonies' & ends 'Continental Currency' with several places giving denomination. Back has nature prints and front various emblems. Condition varies from Fine to AU.
