The Continental Currency was authorized by Continental Congress in Philadelphia to pay for the initial expenses of the Revolutionary War. $1,000,000 authorized for fractional dollar denominations: $%1/6%, $%1/3%, $½ & $%2/3%. Authorized February 17, 1776. Complete set of 4 with extra $%1/2% & $%2/3% missing upper right corner, very good to very fine ($%1/6%). Also Pennsylvania 30sh from July 20, 1775 only very good. Interesting group.
