Breathtaking bronze sculpture entitled "Apprentice" signed A. Gaudez. Adrien-Eteinne Gaudez (1845-1902) is one of the best-known French sculptors of the late 19th century. His style is referred to as photographic representationism as every fold and wrinkle in clothing is meticulously constructed and facial expressions are excellent with special care given to eyes and eye lids. This work is of an upholsterer's apprentice, caught taking a reading break with his job of fringing only half completed. Dimensions: 24"H x 17"W x 15"D Age:C.1890 Material: Bronze
