Description
attributed to Hattori, slender ovoid bodies, flared rims, flowering weeping cherry trees in profusion of flowering plants, daffodils, chrysanthemums and abutilon (flowering maple), six swallows in flight, on dark navy blue field, top and bottom rims with decorative bands, silver wire on copper bodies, nickel alloy mounts on bases, 7-1/4 in. 1 x 1/2 in. loss to enamel and wire on vase with swallows facing left, stress cracks and enamel on bottom rim, does not sit level; 5-1/16 in. shallow scratch on vase with swallows facing right. Provenance: Del Mar Collection. No. 1 in Del Mar inventory, "Hattori of Nayoga pair vases…"
