In 1932, before leaving for Paris, Wols was in touch with László Moholy-Nagy at the Bauhaus. In the 1930s, Wols experimented with non-camera based images known as photograms. To date, only six of his photograms are known to exist: this group of five and a sixth which remain in a private European collection.
