Antique Brass/Raffia Naval Spyglass

Antique Brass & Raffia Naval (?) Spyglass (closed = 20x2.5"; open = 38.5x2.5") This striking optical instrument has internal lens covers and removable lenses at both ends with an ornate raffia wrapping around the barrel. We have not been able to locate any maker marks or names, but it is believed that this instrument was "liberated" in the Pacific during WW II. Excellent overall condition and a great addition to any collection.
