1962, Flown "Project Stargazer" Balloon Cover with a black handstamped cachet "Carried on special USAF Balloon Flight", a blue handstamped cachet "Project Stargazer, USAF Balloon Ascent" and a manuscript "82,000 feet" inserted. The cover is also pilot-signed (White) and signed by "Joe Kittinger" under "Notes" with a date of "14-14 Dec. 1962" added. There is a manuscript notation "5/5 William J. Numeroff" on the reverse. A rare cover that we have not seen before. Flown in Space? YES
