"Home Coming Jubilee" Handbill

1911, Greensburg, Indiana "Home Coming Jubilee" Handbill This (8x11") black and white handbill lists the attractions at the Jubilee. These include "Balloon Ascensions Daily" by Oscar T. Cox and his aeronaut dog "Skiboo". The handbill proclaims that "On two of the six days they will put on a balloon race in which the dog makes an ascension and leap by himself while the professor makes an ascension and leap at the same time in another balloon. Don't fail to see this novel balloon race, the dog in parachute attached to one balloon and the professor attached to the other". Other attractions at the Jubilee include "Freeman's Trained Goats", "The Rosards" comedy acrobats, "The Great Fussner" (in the mammoth spiral tower exhibition), etc. Some faults, but "Don't Miss the Greatest Event in Indiana". Some faults, but a piece of history… Framed, it would be a delightful conversation piece.
