Mercury 7 Astronaut Autographs

Virgil Grissom, Scott Carpenter, Gordon Cooper, John Glenn, Wally Schirra, Alan Shepard, Deke Slayton Autographs on a dinner/dance ticket for April 23, 1962 celebrating John Glenn, Jr.'s orbital flight. The ticket is autographed on the obverse by all seven of the original Mercury astronauts, and on the reverse side by Annie Glenn, John Glenn's wife. The ticket is matted and framed (to 9.5x15.25") in an attractive black wooden frame edged in a bronze color to match the mat. ALSO included in the frame is a first day cover with a 4c Project Mercury stamp and a cancellation dated Feb. 20, 1962, the date of Glenn's flight. Both the signed dinner dance ticket and the cover are sandwiched between two layers of UV protective glass so that both sides of each are visible. Excellent condition and a very rare memento of an important US space flight.
