Grissom Autograph on a 1959 check to Giant Food Company. The rest of the check is blank. Grissom had to fill in the name of his bank (National Bank of Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX) as well as his address (Stonleybrook Lane, Denhigh, Va) and his account number. Giant Foods was located in Virginia where Grissom was stationed while at Langley during the early Mercury days. This obviously was before he could have printed check made from Virginia. He has boldly signed the check. Rare.
