ASTP Award Certificate Timacheff

Award Certificate for Nicholas Timacheff (17x11", matted and framed to 22.5x18.5") An unusual bilingual award certificate that reads, when translated into English: "(To) Nicholas Timacheff in recognition of his direct participation in the preparation and successful execution of the joint "Soyuz-Apollo" flight, July 15-21, 1975, the first step in international cooperation in the manned exploration of space". The certificate is hand-signed and dated by two Russians with an official hand stamp at the left. This is the first award certificate of this type that we have seen. Mr. Timacheff was the official NASA Russian translator
