Description: Approximately 70 paper items inside paper corner mounts, including invitations for various U.S. military/infantry/battalion dances and events, cards many handwritten by Margaret "Peggy" Moorhead of the American Red Cross. 10½x9½, suede album book (rear cover in simulated-alligator), bound with tie, "Scrap Book, Alaska" burned into front cover, and hand-painted dog-sledding scene on cover.Charming WWII era scrapbook of scarce military ephemera pieces. Rubberstamped "Passed by Army Examiner" signed J. Buffington, 1st Lt. and a typed card from Fort Greeley Headquarters dated August 3, 1943 approving Miss Moorhead to various privileges/access, signed by Robert W. Maxwell Jr., Adj. Major, on front inside cover.
