Description: 4½x7¾, on original cabinet size card mount.Identified in pencil on reverse "C.A. Plummer, Phot. Centreville." Carl Mautz places Plummer in the partnership of Plummer & Haelsig, "Traveling stereo photographers operating in the Mojave Desert are; may also have worked in Arizona." One would presume the Centerville of the present photograph, among the many Centervilles in California, would be the one 16 miles east of Fresno, closest in proximity to Plummer's noted field of operations. The dusty, agricultural-related scene also evokes the Central Valley, though the exact nature of the press (wine? olives? potatoes?) cannot be identified.
